I got my first real six string…”I acquired my guitar when I was 14 years old. A friend of mine, who was 16, was trying to outrun the police on a motorcycle and got killed in an accident.  He was a good friend of mine, and he had passed away and the funeral was done I went and snuck into the house when his mom wasn’t there and took the guitar. I figured he would have wanted me to have it.  It was just some Japanese no-name thing: it wasnt worth a lot, but it was worth a lot to me.  I was playing Ramones songs and basic punk rock stuff back then”
